Scipio
Recreational Trail Area
The Oklahoma Trail Riders Inc.,
was formed in 2001, in order to facilitate the acquisition
of Federal and State of Oklahoma Grant Moneys, in order to acquire 1730
acres for a new
multi-use riding area near the small town of Scipio. The funds have now
been secured, and the
land has now been purchased. It is now called the
Scipio Recreational Trail Area.
This is approximately 20 miles Northwest of McAlester, Oklahoma.
It is now
open to
the public as of June 30, 2007.
